Outstanding.

Thank you, Cracked.com for comparing me and my kind to Hilter. We never get that. Masterful work.

The marketers have taken over.

So I just read the one-shot What If? Spider-Man Vs. Wolverine "#1" and it was a ton of fun but that dang John Romita Jr. cover is SO friggin' misleading. Yes, yes, we're all tired of cover art not matching the interiors but when two characters are fighting, you would expect them to at least be mad at or even disagree with one another inside the comic.  Nope.  What a crock.

The Satanic Spider-Man

He's a dealer.

Thanks AiC.

Brian Wood is badass.

And like me, he's putting it free on the web.

I'd rather than be bothered by a second of ads than donate. At least the interweb's better than print (which gets you both ways).

No... no telethons for this nerd.

I just watched Quesada on Colbert

And it wasn't pretty. Colbert is a massive comic fanboy and shouldn't be painfully told what Skrulls are. I hope folks like tomorrows comic more than those stickers and graphics.

To tell you the truth, the whole thing was cool. ANYTHING that brings comics to the forefront is a good thing, right? That's my whole wacky point of being.

Oh wait... Jon Stewart is upstaging my friend right now. :(

-and so is, Alex Ross... the music critic??

Die Hard 4

Watched this one for the first time today.

It was pretty great. The action was out of this world and Timothy Olyphant was an amazing villian (his underlings made for a nice hook too). The Mac kid was a little more annoying than funny, but it's all good.

Good news for me!

I just love this changing world of ours.  Could TV ads' value be down while new media be up?  SHOW ME THE MONEY!

This dang thing is getting the better of me.

I have three MASSIVE meetings, two hours of voice acting and a bunch of reading to do today.  So this is my blog post.

Is it cheating if I go back and post things that represent days I have to take off?  I thought so.

Oh yeah, Tom Spurgeon of www.comicsreporter.com will be on Fanboy Radio this Sunday for a new wrap-up.  The Strike give me less fodder, but some how more justification for a par-job.  Thanks crappy late-night talk shows setting the bar so low.  Man, if FbTV was going on now instead of last summer it would have had a million more chances of making me MILLIONS.  Too bad it cost me THOUSANDS instead.

Haha... first image in a series.

Image won't work in this profile.  I want to collect my favorite message board sigs that represent what fandom thinks about the issue.

Heath Ledger dead??

According to New York City police, Heath Ledger was pronounced dead just this afternoon.  Very shockingly tragic indeed.

John Ringo in the hizzy

Here's an advance look at Wednesday's show with the best-selling science fiction novelist.  Most of the hour will be designated to talking about sci-fi in holistic terms, geeks' role in modern society and other fun topics.  It should be up early... just not sure when.

I love you, Jim

Jim Lujan was one of my groomsmen and is celebrating the quick recovery of his five year-old's surgery. I'm in awe of his and little Julia's calm, faithful attitude during the trying past week. On top of all of this, you should know about how cool Jim's cartoons are. Here is his latest peice, 'The Customer Serviced.'

Early Trek Trailer?

I almost lost at old-school, original trilogy Star Wars Trivial Pursuit tonight... gah! I must be off my game. Or I'm just hanging around fellow uber-nerds more. Feels good.

The Scoop wrote up a nice sumpin-sumpin for Sunday's show.

So because Oliver's such a 'super-star' (see link above) and an outed Trekkie... I'll post this in honor of him:

Thanks for the link, Sean.

For all the One More Day haters in the house...

Tune in this Sunday at 7/6c for an awesome FbR:

This is by the incredible Justin Stewart.

I recorded an interview with sci-fi novelist John Ringo that was pretty dang good - it went over an hour so after a bit of editing it'll be next Wednesday's episode it looks like.  Let me know if anyone reading this has ever read any of Ringo's books.

I hope everyone is liking these new shows.  (sorry this post is so short but I'm uber-tired from all the work today))
